Semaglutide Program from Peak Medical
It’s being touted as a game-changer in the world of weight loss drugs because, well, it actually works.
A large study was published recently in the New England Journal of Medicine showing some pretty impressive weight loss effects in non-diabetics taking semaglutide.
- 50% of people in the treatment group lost at least 15% of their body weight over 68 weeks and 86% lost at least 5%.
- Fasting insulin was reduced by 26% and liver function tests normalized.
- Patients continued to lose weight for more than 60 weeks without hitting a plateau.

What is Semaglutide?
Semaglutide is a modified molecule our bodies make, GLP1. It’s a protein made in the intestine and results in a decrease in blood sugars and appetite. A small change in the molecule allows the drug to last weeks in our bodies rather than minutes. Originally used for diabetes and sold under the name Ozempic®, Semaglutide is a higher dose of the same drug for weight loss. The results were dramatic.
Effective and Sustained Results
In the study above, participants with obesity (BMI >30) took 2.4 mg Semaglutide each week. At the 3 month mark, the treatment group averaged between 6% and 8% reduction in body weight. At the conclusion of the 68 week study, the treatment group lost about 15% body weight (37 lb for a 250 lb individual). The placebo group lost 2.4% body weight.
How Does Semaglutide Work?
Patients taking Semaglutide report intermittent nausea, but mostly in the beginning few weeks. Some experience occasional vomiting or diarrhea. But, for those that can handle the intermittent nausea, ALMOST EVERYONE seems to lose weight with this drug.
If you’re looking for significant, sustained weight loss, at a fraction of the cost of retail, Peak Medical’s Semaglutide is a very effective option!
